Breakout West — a four-day music industry conference, three-night music festival and home of the Western Canadian Music Awards — has been helping develop and celebrate Western Canadian music for more than two decades.
It's hosted by a different Western Canadian city each year and this year's, taking place Sept. 25 to 29, will be the first in Saskatoon.
CBC is proud to be a sponsor and co-presenter of the CBC Saskatoon Showcase.
Where we'll be
On Friday, Sept. 27 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CST, CBC's Shauna Powers, host of Saskatchewan Weekend, will be part of a conference panel at the Sheraton Cavalier called Navigating Radio

That evening, 8 to 11:30 p.m. CST, we'll be at the Broadway Theatre for the CBC Saskatoon Showcase. Join us to find out who'll be receiving industry and artistic awards, plus hear performances by Sask artists Merissa Burwell and Rooky Kamiz, along with Edmonton's Arlo Maverick and a special performance by this year's local Hall of Fame inductees — to be announced soon!
