The Saskatchewan Roughriders are set to host the B.C. Lions at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday in the CFL West Division semifinals, and their fans are excited to see the team in the post-season for the first time since 2021.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," said Steven Blayone.

Blayone and his wife have been season ticket holders for about 24 years. He says he is looking forward to this game after years of disappointment.

"Hopefully we get a sell out tomorrow and it's super loud and [Lions quarterback] Vernon Adams [Jr.] can't hear."

Mosaic Stadium had still not sold out late Friday afternoon, with many tickets still available on Ticketmaster.

Byron Adams, another season ticket holder, says he isn't concerned about a seeming lack of Rider fan support.

"We go to different places around the country and there are Rider fans everywhere," Adams said. "One of my buddies, who is a Winnipeg Bombers fan, calls us the green plague."

He says he is hopeful Riders fans will be able to showcase their support to give the team a real home field advantage: "We're Rider Strong, we bleed the green, and hopefully we get a good turn out."
