Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall has issued a statement following Friday's attacks in Paris, France.

Gunmen targeted Paris cafés, detonated suicide bombs near France's national stadium and killed hostages inside the Bataclan concert hall. More than 200 people were injured, dozens critically.

Premier Wall released the following statement on the horrific events:

Like all Canadians, I am saddened and angered by the brutal attacks on the people of Paris by radical Islamist terrorists. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the people who were killed and wounded, all of their loved ones and all of the people of France.

Yesterday's attack was a deadly reminder that there are people in the world who do not share our values and who will stop at nothing in their attempts to impose their twisted, evil ideology through violence, destruction and death.

They must be defeated. There truly is no other option.

I have asked that the flag of France be flown in front of our provincial Legislature and that all of the flags at the Legislature be flown at half staff.

The people of Saskatchewan stand with the people of France and with freedom loving people all over the world against murderous and barbaric radical Islamist terrorism.
