Saskatchewan's highways minister says the government is working with rural municipalities to lift spring road bans in order to help the province's agriculture sector.
Greg Ottenbreit says the province has been working with the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities and the RMs themselves to determine which roads can handle secondary weights.
The province says producers are in need of critical supplies such as seed, fuel and fertilizer.
Agriculture Minister David Marit says the measure will help producers finish last year's harvest, market last year's crop and get this year's crop in the ground.
