The Regina festival will take place each night from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3.

It was a special night for singers and patrons at the Knox-Metropolitan United Church in Regina on Monday night.

Choral groups from across the city kicked off the 75th Regina Rotary Carol Festival.

The festival was started by Rotarian Rev. Len Outerbridge, who wanted to bring Christmas joy during the Second World War.

Today, dozens of groups perform and the event raises more than $20,000 each year for local charities.

The Rotary Clubs of Regina are using their proceeds to purchase Christmas food hampers.

This year, the festival will take place each night from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3.

All shows will be performed at Knox-Metropolitan United Church (2340 Victoria Avenue) from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
