RCMP search for missing man Troy Napope near Prince Albert

RCMP said in November they are treating Troy Napope's disappearance in May as a homicide. On Jan. 6 they searched for him again north of Prince Albert.

RCMP and Prince Albert Police searched again on Wednesday afternoon for missing man, Troy Napope. Officers said there would be increased police and RCMP presence north of Prince Albert near Whitfield Road between approximately 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. CST.

Napope, 23, was last seen in May, 2015. He was reported missing on June 6, nine days after the car he was using had been found burning in a grove of trees on Whitfield Road.

In November, officers said they are treating his disappearance as a homicide, despite not having found Napope or his remains.

Officers said the latest search on Wednesday included specialized equipment.
