Prince Albert police arrested five people following a high-speed chase and shots being fired at a house on Saturday.

Officers were called to the 800 block of 12th Street West for a weapons complaint on Saturday at roughly 7 p.m. CST, according to a Monday news release. The police service says people exited a vehicle, shot at a house, and then drove away in a southbound direction.

Police began a chase with Saskatchewan RCMP joining in to help.

Police said one of the people in the vehicle started peeking out the window and shooting at the officers midway through the chase as they were driving on Highway 55 East.

The vehicle was eventually brought to a stop after being boxed in by police vehicles in Little Red Park, and police say no officers were injured during the pursuit.

Police found a .22 calibre sawed-off rifle, knives, a machete and bear spray in the vehicle.

The five occupants of the vehicle — a 32-year-old man, two 30-year-old men, a 21-year-old man and a 28-year-old  woman — have been charged with multiple firearms related charges, discharging a firearm with intent, assaulting a  peace officer, resisting a peace officer, evading police and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The 32-year-old man was also charged with possession of meth and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and  possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.

All five are scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.
