Humane society cat-idates 'the only ballot where everyone's a winner'
The price of adoptions was reduced to $50 and the cats were named after political candidates for the Sask-cat-chewan Party, the New Demo-cats, the Green Paw-ty and the Lib-purr-als.
The majority of the cats were adopted, leaving new pet owners, the cats, and the Regina Humane Society happy
It was perhaps the only election this month that left everyone feeling good — the Regina Humane Society had a successful cat-idate event this weekend.
The price of adoptions was reduced to $50 and the cats were named after political candidates for the Sask-cat-chewan Party, the New Demo-cats, the Green Paw-ty and the Lib-purr-als.
The Humane Society says 26 cats and kittens were adopted, which was the majority. Considering that the centre wasn't overstocked as it is, they said it was a success.
Bill Thorn with the Regina Humane Society says it's "the only ballot where everyone's a winner."
