Happy Canada Day! Events underway in Saskatchewan
Food, concerts, plywood boat building highlight day of events in Regina
The smoky air didn't stop people from getting outside to celebrate Canada Day in Saskatchewan.
Hundreds of people descended on Wascana Park for the Canada Day activities in Regina.
From food and concerts to plywood boat building and a strongman competition, there was a lot of fun to be had.

Regina's Canada Day events began around 11:30 a.m. CST with a 21-gun salute. Beer gardens and the main stage are open all day.
Kids activities began around 1 p.m. at the community and family stage.
Fireworks will be set off as scheduled around 10:30 p.m. from Willow Island.
In Saskatoon, the annual Canada Day events in Diefenbaker Park are underway. The fireworks are also expected to start at 10:30 p.m.
