CBC Saskatchewan seeking young creators with a passion for digital storytelling
Get in touch to learn about our Creator Network

What is the Creator Network?
The Creator Network is a group of CBC producers across the country who mentor and guide emerging digital storytellers as they create relevant and original content for younger audiences.
The goal is to bring more authentic and diverse stories to CBC platforms, including our websites, streaming channel Explore, GEM app, local television programs, current affairs shows and other CBC departments such as CBC Arts, CBC Life and CBC Indigenous.
We also post all videos to our CBC Saskatchewan YouTube page.

What are we looking for?
We are specifically looking for emerging content creators to make short videos (five minutes and under) for an 18- to 30-year-old audience.
Content creators can be writers, filmmakers, vloggers, photographers, journalists, artists, animators, foodies, or anyone else with a compelling idea and visual plan for bright and bold content.
We want creators to tell stories through their own lenses, and we will license and pay for the finished content. Our producer will guide and mentor you along the way, to ensure you create your very best content to share with the rest of the country.

We are looking for content is primarily video-based, but we are also open to pitches for other treatments including web stories, animation, audio features, tutorials, explainers, photo essays and more.
We are not looking for pitches for reality shows or scripted series involving actors or performers. For more information about how to pitch those types of projects, click here.
Here are a few examples of Creator Network content produced by creators in Saskatchewan.
