About the team

Host - Sam Maciag

Previously a Regina radio morning host also working as a reporter, web editor, news anchor and technical producer, Sam Maciag has more than a decade of experience in the industry. A long time journalist, she has gotten to know audiences in almost all facets of CBC's operations.

Sam's critical thinking, deep community connection to Saskatchewan, and love of storytelling have made her a great host. Maciag is also a literacy advocate and the founder and host of The Novel Idea Society book club, a partnership between CBC Sask and the Regina Public Library.

Producer - Nichole Huck

Nichole Huck is passionate about this place for many reasons. She was born here, has travelled the world extensively and now chooses Regina as her home with her husband and four kids. She's also the long-time producer of Blue Sky, a noon-hour call-in show that regularly checks the pulse of the province. She gets Saskatchewan like no one else and continues to learn so much every day.
