On CBC TV and CBC News Network: Chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge hosts live from Ottawa. Peter is joined by Brian Stewart, one of Canada's most experienced foreign correspondents and currently a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Munk School for Global Affairs.Diana Swain, Evan Solomon and Hannah Thibedeau report live from Ottawa, and Nahlah Ayed from Ypres.
CBC Radio is broadcasting coverage of the 2014 National Remembrance Day ceremony held in Ottawa. Susan Bonner is hosting the network special with analysis from National Affairs Editor Chris Hall. Special guest is Canadian historian Tim Cook. The program is being carried live from 10:55 to 12 noon ET, 11:55 to 1 PM Atlantic on CBC Radio One and Sirius XM. It will be rebroadcast at 10:55 a.m local time, Central, Mountain and Pacific on CBC Radio One.
Canada's Soldier
The CBC News documentary special, Canada's Soldier, is hosted by CBC News Chief Correspondent Peter Mansbridge.
In this one-hour documentary for Remembrance Day, Mansbridge retraces the steps that Canadians took as they were dispatched to fight in The Great War.
With every step, Mansbridge reveals that even after 100 years, many memories from the Great War remain cloaked in mystery, including a tunnel with Canadian artifacts never seen before on television.
