RCMP have charged a 31-year-old school bus driver from Prince Edward Island for sexting with a minor.
Steven William MacLeod of Rose Valley, west of Charlottetown, has been charged with luring a child and invitation to sexual touching.
The charges are in connection with electronic communications MacLeod had with a person under the age of consent, police say.
RCMP said their investigation started in May, 2016, after they received a complaint from the public.
The investigation took "a while for warrants, tech investigation and coordination with phone companies," said Sgt. Leanne Butler, Queens District RCMP.
MacLeod has been suspended from his job as a driver. He is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Charlottetown on Dec. 12.
