Police in Kingston, Ont., say a sacred robe was stolen from a building in the city's downtown last month.

The buffalo robe was stolen from the area of Lower Union and Wellington streets on the morning of April 7, police say.

"The robe has significant sacred value, and the owners would like to see it returned," Const. Anthony Colangeli said in a news release.
