A major online retailer is leaving the internet realm for a real-world road trip this week, including stops in Ottawa and Kingston.

Etsy is a platform for entrepreneurs to sell handmade crafts and vintage items — more than 25 million of them — letting some build their business large enough to hire others to work for them.

The company is in the midst of a four-city tour through Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto so local crafters can connect with current and future shoppers.
