Visit CBC Ottawa at Major’s Hill Park

How are you celebrating Canada's 149th birthday in the Capital? Put on your red and white, stop by Major's Hill Park and visit the CBC Ottawa tent for a fun-filled day with the whole family.

Rain or shine, we'll be there to join in the festivities and cheer on #OurAthletes on the road to Rio. With the Rio 2016 Olympics fast approaching, CBC Ottawa will be handing out giveaways and passing out postcards so you can share your messages of support with our Canadian athletes.

And that's not all!

Join All in a Day's Alan Neal as he hosts the Canada Day Singer/Songwriter Showcase. Celebrate our nation's birthday with some of the best musical talent from across the country.

This year's show will feature performances by some of your favourite Canadian artists, including Ottawa's own Amanda Rheaume, Calgary-native Reuben Bullock, East Coaster Chelsea Amber, Montreal Franco-rocker Andie Duquette and BC-born Shawn Hook.

If you can't join us, be sure to tune in on July 1st at noon on CBC Radio One as part of the showcase will be broadcast live.

Kids' CBC will also be on-site with two can't-miss performances featuring Kids' CBC host Patty and her friends Chirp, Bookaboo and Ceebee. Bookaboo will also be available for meet and greets!

Look for the CBC Ottawa tent next to the main stage.

Happy Birthday, Canada!
