Taylor, first elected in 2010, had promised to only stay on as a councillor for two terms.
"I made that commitment to run for two terms as councillor, and I intend to keep that," Taylor said.
There are five candidates vying for the seat at the councillor table:
- Erica Dath
- Don Dransfield
- Theresa Kavanagh
- Marc Lugert
- Trevor Robinson, who ran in 2014 and came in fourth.
Candidates who did not provide a website when they registered do not have links to their campaigns.
Bay ward is diverse with a mix of incomes, and development is shaping up to be a big issue as older communities are revitalized.
