A new 90-million dollar ferry will be making the run this summer between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Bar Harbour, Maine.
The current ferry is called the Cat, and travels at high speed, making the trip in about two and one-half hours.
It is being retired and will be leased to another company.
The new ferry is called the Blue Cat and is coming from Tasmania. It left on Sunday, and is expected to start running in May.
The Blue Cat can hold 900 passengers, and 27 more cars than the original cat.
Company owners say it will give passengers a more comfortable ride and can carry more freight.
