Old Man Winter wanted for weather crimes by RCMP
'Old Man Winter is wanted in relation to a series of storms in Nova Scotia over the past 2 weeks'
They say the Mounties always get their man, but this one may prove more slippery than most.
RCMP in Nova Scotia issued an unusually tongue-in-cheek news release Wednesday, naming their chief suspect.
"Old Man Winter is wanted in relation to a series of storms in Nova Scotia over the past two weeks leaving behind massive amounts of snow across the province," read the release.
The Mounties say the suspect "hails from the north, moves quickly, and drifts around. Last winter, he often made appearances on Wednesdays — however this year, he has been much more unpredictable."
The suspect was last seen in the region Sunday.
"We've already been in contact with several meteorologists to help us narrow down his whereabouts," said RCMP Cpl. Greg Church in the release.
"We know that Old Man Winter is calm, cool and collected but may crack under high pressure."
The CBC's Richard Cuthbertson sought the man himself. Watch the above video to see if he found him.
Tina Comeau tweeted an early lead: "@RCMPNS Captured this image on Yarmouth 101 webcam Feb 16. Our newsroom forensics enhanced image. Looks like your guy."
