Cape Breton Regional Police have arrested two male students for mischief after they were found with Airsoft guns, prompting a lockdown Wednesday at Memorial High School in Sydney Mines, N.S.
Police were called to the school after a staff member reported seeing a student outside a high school with what looked like a firearm.
Police placed students and teachers under lockdown while they investigated.
In a news release, investigators said video surveillance showed the pair with what appeared to be firearms. Both were removed from class and arrested.
Police expect to lay charges.
