MacKay Bridge closed this weekend to allow toll booths to be removed
Bridge closes at 7 p.m. on Friday, scheduled to reopen Monday at 5:30 a.m.

The A. Murray MacKay Bridge will be closed this weekend to allow work to begin on the removal of the toll booth plaza.
Halifax Harbour Bridges said the bridge will be closed to all traffic starting Friday at 7 p.m.
It is scheduled to reopen on Monday at 5:30 a.m.
"Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes. Drivers of commercial vehicles are reminded they are not permitted to use the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge. Extra patrols will be in place to ticket and turn around unauthorized vehicles," Halifax Harbour Bridges said in a news release ahead of the closure.
Traffic is expected to be heavier over the weekend. Halifax Harbour Bridges will make lane changes on the three-lane Macdonald Bridge to help with traffic flow.
Halifax Harbour Bridges said further work will be required, but it will be another month before another weekend closure is needed.
The provincial government removed tolls on both harbour bridges earlier this month.
