Nova Scotians are getting even more relief at the pumps this week.

On Monday, the Nova Scotia Energy Board invoked the interrupter clause, making the changes due to "significant shifts" in the market price of gasoline and diesel oil.

At midnight Tuesday, the price of regular gasoline dropped 6.2 cents to 143.1 per litre in the Halifax area. The price of diesel, meanwhile, dropped 11.6 cents to 148.6 per litre.

The price at the pump varies slightly depending on where you are in the province.

Last Tuesday, the cancellation of the consumer carbon tax saw the price of regular gasoline drop 17.4 cents from 163.9 to 146.5 per litre in the Halifax area. The price of diesel dropped 22.1 cents to 161.2 per litre.
