Buildings evacuated after natural gas leak in Burnside

Halifax Fire crews were called to the scene of natural gas leak in the Burnside Business Park area Wednesday evening.

An excavator with Dexter Construction hit a line at the corner of Wright and Haliburton avenues.

A few businesses were evacuated as Heritage Gas worked to repair the damage.

Traffic was re-routed around Wright Avenue.

Fire crews evacuated a few buildings in the area. 

Crews are unsure how many people were inside at that time of evacuation.
