People in Sanikiluaq, Nunavut, saw some unusual weather yesterday, and some even caught it on film.
"We saw this cloud formation building over our town and went to a lookout to take pictures," said Sarah Meeko.
"It was very calm as I took this picture and then suddenly the wind picked up and was gusting to 30 kilometres," she said. "That was the biggest cloud I ever saw."
Sarah Ajagutainaq, another Sanikiluaq resident, posted her own photo of the event on CBC Nunavut's Facebook page.
"It was amazing and kinda scary," she wrote.
Sanikiluaq, Nunavut's southernmost community, is located on the Belcher Islands in Hudson Bay.
