Yellowknife RCMP make arrest in Dettah aggravated assault

Yellowknife RCMP have arrested a man in connection with an aggravated assault in Dettah early this morning.

Police got a call at around 4 a.m. about a disturbance at a home in the community.

In a news release, police say officers found a "grievously" injured man at the home and he was taken to Stanton Territorial Hospital by ambulance.

A suspect was arrested this afternoon at a home in Yellowknife. Police say no charges have been laid yet and the investigation is ongoing.
