Behchoko man charged in 2 sexual assaults

A Behchoko, N.W.T., man charged earlier this month in a sexual assault is facing a second set of charges in the sexual assault of a minor.

RCMP in Behchoko were called to a home in the community early Saturday. During the investigation, police say an "allegation of sexual assault was brought forward in relation to a female minor."

Peter John Lafferty, 40, was charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.

Lafferty had been charged three weeks earlier, on Oct. 2, with the sexual assault of an adult female.​
