2 suspects arrested in rifle theft from Yellowknife Canadian Tire

Arrests made Tuesday night on Taylor Road and Range Lake Road
Two people have been arrested in connection with a theft of firearms from Yellowknife's Canadian Tire last month.
The arrests took place Tuesday night.
One suspect was arrested during a traffic stop on Taylor Road, and the arrest was recorded on cellphone video by a neighbourhood resident.
The second suspect was arrested in a parking lot of a business on Range Lake Road.
Two rifles were stolen from a locked case at the Canadian Tire store on Old Airport Road while the store was open on the evening of May 25. The stolen rifles are a Rossi Ranch Hand, and a Chiappa Survival Series.
Both suspects remain in police custody. Police say the rifles have not been recovered.
