Pedestrian struck at busy St. John's intersection, taken to hospital

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says a pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit at a busy St. John's intersection Tuesday evening.

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle at a busy St. John's intersection Tuesday evening.

According to police, a female victim was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Thorburn Road and O'Leary Avenue.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the victim has been taken to hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

There is no word on any charges.
