The tiny fry were released into the Rennie's River system by schoolchildren converged on the Fluvarium on Thursday.
Kids from 17 different schools took part. The children raised the fish in their classrooms from eggs they received back in February.
Salmon used to be common in Rennie's River. The program is part of an ongoing effort to bring the fish back.
