Tessier Place suspect accused of killing Joey Whalen last March

Kenny Green, 35, has pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder of Joey Whalen, 47, in St. John's.
Green is alleged to have beaten Whalen in March 2013 in what neighbours described as a drug house on Tessier Place, in the city's downtown.
The accused was denied bail, but has a review scheduled this Thursday.
Green — along with another man — was recently found not guilty of conspiring to escape from the Waterford Hospital.
