2 more medals for Katarina Roxon at National Swimming Championships
Kippens swimmer won 4 medals total, and broke an Americas record for 50-metre breaststroke
Katarina Roxon, the paralympic swimming champion from Kippens, N.L., has won another two medals at the Canadian Swimming Championships in Montreal this weekend.
Roxon swam in the 200-metre individual medly on Sunday, taking the gold medal.
Her coach — and proud dad — Leonard Roxon tweeted the medal presentation on Sunday evening.
Right after that race, Roxon went on to take the bronze medal in the 100-metre butterfly race.

Roxon, who has become something of a household name in the province after winning a gold medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, got some shoutouts from other famous Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
Premier Dwight Ball over the weekend tweeted his congratulations to Roxon.
