A bald eagle
Greg Horner got up close and personal with this bald eagle as it got ready to take flight near Chamberlains. (Submitted by Greg Horner)

Some of us are watching the skies with their longer sunny days and warming breezes and waiting for summer, but across Newfoundland and Labrador there others are getting out there to enjoy the last of the snow on cool sunny spring days.

And both types of people are valid, we aren't here to judge.

But we are here to post your photos, so if you'd like to send one in for a future gallery, scroll to the bottom to find out how.

A kettle on the boil on a hillside.
There are views and there are VIEWS and Gordon Casey sure can pick his spots for a boil-up, here overlooking the Bay of Islands on the Colette Urban Memorial Trail. (Submitted by Gordon Casey)
The moon over mountains
An (uncharacteristically) calm evening in Wreckhouse allowed Jerome Jesseau to capture a picture of the moon which will really blow you away. (Submitted by Jerome Jesseau)
Snowmobile in Labrador
No wind and 14 degree temperatures on a sunny day on St. Michael's Bay mean amazing snowmobiling weather for Brendon Clark. (Submitted by Brendon Clark)
A waterfall.
Spout River Falls spills itself out into the ocean near Flatrock. (Submitted by Jantje VanHouwelingen)
A squirrel
In Northern Bay, Eugene Howell has befriended a squirrel named 'Thyroid.' Whether Howell gave him that name or that's just the name the squirrel offered when they met is anyone's guess. (Submitted by Eugene Howell)
The sun in the sky
A jet's contrail slices through the halo of a sundog, caused by ice crystals in the air high above Signal Hill. (Submitted by Lewis Greenland)
A polar bear
A polar bear can go absolutely no father across the ice until catching a brief snooze near Red Bay. (Submitted by Wanita Stone)
flowers and a bee.
No sooner do the flowers come back in Corner Brook than the bees are getting into their bee's wax about it. (Submitted by Fred Gullage)

Have a photo you'd like to share?

Here's how to get in touch with us: email [email protected]. It's a dedicated address just for photo submissions from across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Here's what we need from you: your name, where the photo was taken and a caption that tells us what's in the image. We encourage you to add any information you think our readers would enjoy!

We share the photos we receive here, and we might also use them on Here & Now each weeknight during Ashley Brauweiler's weather segments. And we always give credit.

Because of the volume of submissions we receive, we cannot respond to everyone.
