Blue Rodeo will be back in St. John's in February as part of its 2017 tour with a new album.

Lead singer Jim Cuddy and his bandmates will perform at Mile One Centre on Feb. 23, the stadium announced Monday, as part of a 30-concert series.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 28, a date which coincides with the release of Blue Rodeo's 14th studio album, 1,000 Arms.

The group has been performing for three decades, has a star on Canada's Walk of Fame and membership in the Order of Canada.

During a performance in St. John's in 2013, Cuddy called local audiences warm and musical.

"As a band, you're going to get the most simpatico from your audience here," he told CBC News at the time.

Tickets for February's show range in price from $36.50 to $62.50.
