2 arrested, another suspect sought in separate armed robberies

The RNC were called to two separate robberies in the downtown St. John's area. Two men were arrested in one incident, and a female suspect is sought in a second robbery.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to two separate robberies in downtown St. John's overnight.

Police are looking for a woman who robbed the Ultramar gas bar on Waldegrave Street around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

The RNC said the woman entered the store and wielded a weapon, but didn't say what kind.

She fled the scene with a small amount of cash.

The woman is described as 30 years old, about five feet tall and weighing 120 pounds.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.

Sunday night, police arrested two men shortly after the Hamilton Convenience store on Hamilton Avenue was held up.

That robbery happened around 8:45 p.m. 

Both of the men were held in custody to appear in provincial court Monday.
