A 16-year-old boy is dead following an incident near a popular swimming spot in Flatrock Tuesday afternoon, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says.
Police, Eastern Health and members of both the St. John's Regional and Torbay fire departments responded to a call of a drowning at Bark Pot swimming hole shortly after 3:30 p.m.
Const. Geoff Higdon told CBC News the teenager was rushed to hospital. His family has been notified.
