New Brunswick's unemployment rate dropped below the 10 per cent threshold in April.
Figured released by Statistics Canada on Friday show the unemployment rate fell six percentage points in April to settle at 9.6 per cent.
There were 2,700 new part-time jobs created in April and 1,200 new full-time jobs in the province, said Statistics Canada.
The labour force, which is the number of people working or actively looking for work, grew by 1,800.
The national unemployment rate held steady at 7.1. per cent.
