University flags at half mast for Sylla Souleymane, 20, of Guinea
Flags at the University of Moncton were at half mast on Monday to honour an international student who died in a crash in Quebec over the weekend.
Sylla Souleymane, 20, of Guinea, lost control of the vehicle he was driving on Highway 185, between Rivière-du-Loup and Edmundston, on Saturday at about 9:15 p.m.
Provincial police say Souleymane's vehicle was found split in two, in a field off of the highway, about 50 kilometres southeast of Rivière-du-Loup.
Souleymane was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, but police do not suspect drinking and driving.
At least four people were killed and five were sent to hospital after a series of road accidents in Quebec Saturday night.
