Krystal Toole's preliminary hearing set for alledgedly helping Marissa Shephard

A woman charged with assisting fugitive Marissa Shephard will have a preliminary hearing in provincial court on April 29.

Krystal Toole appeared before Provincial Court judge Troy Sweet on Thursday.

Toole remains in custody.

Toole was arrested with Shephard on March 1 in Moncton.

A bail hearing for Toole will be scheduled before the Court of Queen's Bench.

Shephard, 20, had eluded police for 10 weeks after being charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Dec. 17 death of Baylee Wylie, 18, in Moncton.

Stephen Nagle was also with Shephard when she was arrested and is also charged for providing assistance to Shephard and aiding her escape.
