Do Crew chips in to make the 34th annual Sing-In a success
More than 22,000 raised for Project Pal, a mental health advocacy and resource centre
UPDATE: The CBC Montreal Do Crew was out in full force, tuques and all, as hundreds of Montrealers gathered for the 34th annual CBC Sing-In on Dec. 8th.
Our volunteers helped people sort through the new bracelet system, escorted people to Bourgie Hall and kept people smiling as concert-goers lined the sidewalks eager to get the annual tradition underway.
Thanks very much to the Do Crew volunteers.

As the 34th annual CBC Montreal Sing-In approaches, the Do Crew is calling out for volunteers to help with the charity drive which kicks off next Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Every year CBC Montreal selects a local charity to benefit from donations collected at its annual Sing-In.
This year Project PAL, a Verdun-based mental health advocacy group, housing co-operative and resource centre, has been selected.
Funds raised at the Sing-In, and in the days leading up to that event, will be used in part to help Project PAL's choir to purchase much-needed uniforms, equipment and instruments.
So where do you come in?
Next Wednesday, Dec. 4, CBC Montreal will be broadcasting live throughout the day from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. We'll be accepting donations and shaking cans to encourage passers-by to drop in a coin or two.
Then, just a few days later on Sunday, Dec. 8 we'll need a few more volunteers to help welcome and register the throngs of people who line up in front of the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul hours before the doors open for the Sing-In.
This is the first time that we have ever had two Do Crew events in the same month!
If you're interested here is what you need to know:

Assist at the Sing-In
WHEN: Sunday, Dec. 8 (SING-IN DAY!)
HOW LONG: From 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
HOW MANY: 6 volunteers.
WHERE: Church of St Andrew and St. Paul, 3415 Redpath, Montreal. (Mostly outdoors.)
WHAT: People who want to attend the Sing-In often line up for hours ahead 2 p.m., when the door open. In past years the Church often fills up before we have been able to seat everyone wishing to take part in this annual Montreal tradition.
This year we will be using a bracelet system. We will need people to help hand out bracelets and to make sure that everyone in line has their own bracelet. We will also be broadcasting the Sing-In live from a second nearby location. Do Crew will also be escorting people by foot to that second location.

This promises to be a truly unique event. We hope to see many of you along for the ride.
