CBC Do Crew celebrates its 2nd year at Centre Greene party
June's Do Crew helped out with bouncy castles, kids games and BBQ at Centre Greene
UPDATE: The CBC Montreal Do Crew had a great time helping the Centre Greene celebrate its 25 th anniversary on Saturday in Westmount. Do Crew volunteers were kept busy with set-up for the dining area, supervising the kids games in the gym, tending to the bar and taking care of the BBQ. Thanks to you all for helping to make the event such a fun occasion. Stay tuned for details about our July Do Crew, coming soon!
This month the Do Crew is thrilled to be celebrating its second anniversary and it only seems fitting that we'll be helping the Centre Greene mark its 25th year in the community.
The Centre Greene is a non-profit community centre based in Westmount, but serves Montrealers from across the island.
The Centre welcomes kids who stream through the doors for the after-school program, and caregivers often gather there to have a chat and a coffee together. Seniors who venture out to lunch together there and in the summer the centre is taken over by kids for the nine-week summer camp.
This year the group is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a community carnival and fundraiser. There will be a range of games, bouncy castles and free classes for kids and adults on Saturday, June 20. There will also be a raffle and a BBQ. The funds raised will go towards resurfacing the gym floor, which is used by over 200 children and 100 adults every week.
