Winnipeg police are warning women in the city that a sex offender with a high risk to reoffend is being released into the community this weekend.
Winston George Thomas will be released from Headingley Correctional Centre on Sunday.
Thomas has been convicted of sexual assault, assault and aggravated assault as well as number of other offences.
Police said females of all ages are at risk of sexual violence and one of Thomas’ victims was as young as 13 years old.
Thomas did complete some sex-offender treatment programs while in prison, but police said he is still a high risk to reoffend.
Thomas is expected to live in Winnipeg upon his release.
