If you've been thinking about getting a bike for the summer, Sunday is your chance.

The City of Winnipeg is partnering with the Winnipeg Repair Education and Cycling Hub (WRENCH) to auction off more than 250 ready-to-ride bikes. The public viewing starts at 10 a.m. and the auction begins at noon.

The bikes are the product of the WRENCH's UpCycle employment training program. Each time a bid is placed on a bike, community bicycle programming across Winnipeg receives support, according to a press release issued by the city on Saturday.

At the auction, bikes are sold "as is, where is and no warranty is given nor implied," the press release says.

Cash, debit, MasterCard, American Express and Visa payments are accepted.

There will also be one-time bicycle registrations available on site at the auction. It costs $6.40 to register a bike, according to the city. When the bike's owner fills out a registration, they will get the bike back should the city recover it and there will be no additional charges.

The auction is taking place at 517 Pandora Avenue East in Winnipeg.
