Winnipeg police have spoken to a potential witness as they continue to search for Colten Pratt, a 26-year-old man who hasn't been seen since Nov. 6.

On Tuesday, police revealed that Pratt may have been at the Regal Beagle Bar, located inside the Marlborough Inn on Smith Street, with an "unidentified female" that night.

Police released two photographs of the pair in the hopes that the public can identify the person.

Several hours later, police tweeted that the person has spoken to investigators.

Police spokesperson Const. Jason Michalyshen said the last few weeks have been difficult for Pratt's family.

"Certainly we have been in close contact with family members. Providing them with as much support as possible," he told reporters.

"They are clearly and understandably concerned as are we. We're not going to speculate anything at this point. Right now this is a missing person investigation."

Pratt is described as five feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he was last seen wearing a brown plaid jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Pratt's whereabouts is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Service's missing persons unit at 204-986-6250.
