School bus rolls over on Highway 75 near Ste. Agathe

A school bus rolled over on a highway near Ste. Agathe, Man., on Monday afternoon.

No children were on the bus at the time, 36-year-old driver was helped out of the bus

A school bus rolled over on a highway near Ste. Agathe, Man., on Monday afternoon.

Around 3:15 p.m., Niverville RCMP and St. Pierre Jolys RCMP responded to a call about an overturned school bus on Highway 75 near Ste. Agathe — about 60 kilometres south of Winnipeg.No children were on the bus at the time. 

Police said the driver, a 36-year-old man, was able to get out of the bus safely, with only minor injuries. 

The bus was brand new, police said, and was being delivered to Winnipeg from outside the province. 

Police said the bus rolled into the ditch after a passing semi-truck and strong winds caused the driver to lose control.
