Police seek public's help to find cabbie's killer

It's been nearly two weeks since a Thompson cab driver was stabbed to death, and police are still baffled by the case.

It's been nearly two weeks since a Thompson cab driver was stabbed to death, and police are still baffled by the case.

The body of Mellissa Ivy Chaboyer, 35, was found lying in the parking lot at the City Centre Mall on Saturday, Nov. 26. The part-time taxi driver was beside her white North Star cab.

RCMP in Thompson asked the public for help in the case Thursday.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around the City Centre Mall and parking lot between midnight and 1 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26.

They're also looking for people who were in businesses on the following streets around the mall at that time:

  • Mystery Lake Road.
  • Station Road.
  • Nelson Road.
  • Thompson Drive.
  • Waterloo Drive.
