Winnipeg police find vehicle believed to be connected to abduction, death of Ontario man
Zeyad Shammo, 22, reported missing last week, later found dead at house on Bristol Avenue
Police have found a vehicle believed to be connected in the abduction and death of a 22-year-old Ontario man in Winnipeg.
Officers asked for the public's help to find a black 2018 Honda Civic Touring in connection with the investigation into the death of Zeyad Shammo, police previously said.
The vehicle has since been located, police said in a news release Friday.
The 22-year-old Ontario man was abducted in Winnipeg the day before he was reported missing on Sept. 1, police have said.
Shammo's death is being investigated as a homicide, and police said two people who knew him were charged earlier this week.
Sonny Balemba and Robert James Chaykowski, both 26-year-olds from Winnipeg, have been charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and extortion.
