Nothing turned up in an RCMP search Saturday for a man wanted in connection with a Saskatchewan shooting and an early morning homicide in Flin Flon, Man.
A number of Mounties searched the Aspen Grove area of Flin Flon looking for 18-year-old Xander Tardiff, who is considered armed and dangerous, RCMP said.
Just before 6:30 p.m., Mounties said their search failed to locate him, but efforts to find him were continuing. Police said they thanked residents there for their cooperation and understanding while they worked.
Members of the public had been asked to stay away from the area, and to not post or share photos of officers on social media.
Tardiff, who is from Flin Flon, is six feet tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Previously, police said he could be in Flin Flon, Creighton or Denare Beach, Sask.
Officers said anyone who sees Tardiff should not approach him, but call 911 immediately. They consider him to be armed and dangerous.
