Brandon man faces new charges after 2nd person alleges intimate images betrayal: police

A Brandon man previously charged in a case of intimate images betrayal has been charged again on accusations brought by a second person, Brandon police say.

A Brandon man previously charged in a case of intimate images betrayal has been charged again on accusations brought by a second person, Brandon police say.

The man, 36, uploaded several intimate videos of the two victims, without their knowledge or consent, to an online adult web site over a period of five years, between March 2015 and October 2020, police said in a Thursday news release.

Police say the man was was originally charged on May 31, 2021 in connection with content involving the first victim. 

CBC News has confirmed with Brandon police the man is the same individual who was convicted on charges involving his then-pregnant ex-girlfriend after he uploaded sexually explicit videos of her to Pornhub without her consent.

The man was sentenced to a nine-month custodial sentence on Feb. 12, according to a provincial court decision, and released on an undertaking pending appeal last week, according to court documents.

The man, arrested by police on Wednesday, has now been charged with distributing intimate images without consent of a second victim, police say.

He was released from custody and will appear in court on May 22.
