London police investigating after a pedestrian dies in fatal south-end crash

One pedestrian is dead following a fatal car crash in south London on Saturday evening. The London police's Road Safety Section is investigating.

Emergency crews were called to the crash near Ernest and Bradley Avenues around 7:30 p.m.

A pedestrian is dead following a fatal car crash in south London on Saturday evening, prompting an investigation by London police's Road Safety Section. 

Emergency crews responded to the collision involving a pedestrian near the area of Bradley and Ernest Avenues at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, police said in a news release. 

Eastbound and westbound lanes along the intersection were closed for several hours as police were investigating, and opened up early Sunday. 

Police said the investigation is in its early stages and are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
