Terry Lake in Ottawa to discuss opioid crisis

Health Minister Terry Lake says more would have been done to end the opioid crisis if it was happening in Ontario as opposed to B.C. He is now in Ottawa pushing for Federal help.

Health ministers from across Canada are in Ottawa to discuss the problem of opioid overdoses

B.C.'s Health Minister and the Premier are in Ottawa today taking part in a National Opioid Conference.

In the first 10 months of this year, a total of 622 people have died from overdoses, many of  them related to Fentanyl.

Here in Kamloops there have been at least 25 deaths so far this year, compared to seven deaths for all of 2015. 

Terry Lake is the BC's Health Minister and the MLA for Kamloops North Thompson.
